Tomorrow’s Gift

I wonder what tomorrow will bring.

Perhaps, with it, the reign of a new king.

Tomorrow the stars may all rearrange

And foretell the birth of a new age.

Perhaps, tomorrow a new sun will come

And brightness will fill the lives of some.

Perhaps, tomorrow, new flowers will bloom

And laughter will drive away yesterday's gloom.

Perhaps, tomorrow peace will reign

And love will ultimately win over hate.

Perhaps, tomorrow people will be aware

And will finally show that they do still care.

Tomorrow may bring lots of great things;

Tomorrow blue birds may even sing.

But there is one thing I wish tomorrow would do.

I wish that tomorrow would bring me you.
